Conversational Chinese Course
This course contains in total 8 levels of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced lessons, with its teaching materials developed in-house and published worldwide to specifically cater to the needs of expatriates living in China.
Beginner courses consist of 3 levels with 72 lessons each students begin to learn Pin Yin, and focus on listening and speaking abilities for daily life. Upon completion of the beginner level courses, students will be able to conduct simple daily conversations.
Intermediate courses consist of 3 levels with 72 lessons each, which focus on natural Mandarin mainly involving expatriates’ day-to-day life in China. Upon completion of the courses, students will be able to employ appropriate expression within different contexts, and compose complex sentences and paragraphs expressing personal opinions.
Advanced courses consist of 2 levels with 72 lessons each, which help students expand their vocabulary, reach native-speaker fluency and express themselves accurately.

Conversational Chinese Courses

Starting with Pin Yin, these courses focus on listening and speaking abilities for daily life. Upon completion of the three beginner courses, students will be able to conduct simple daily conversations.


These courses focus on natural Mandarin mainly involving expatriates' day-to-day life in China. Upon completion of the courses, students will be able to employ appropriate expressions within different contexts, and compose complex sentences and paragraphs expressing personal opinions fluently on selected topics.

◆Beginner Courses Show |
These courses are designed for students who are busy and do not have time for a long term study plan. They are ideal if you have had no previous exposure to Mandarin as they start with Chinese phonetics and phrases. The beginner level comprises three courses – Beginner I, Beginner II & Beginner III. Upon completion of the course, you should have a command of more than 1,000 basic words and 200 simple sentences, focusing first on pinyin (Romanization of Chinese characters) and then progressing to basic daily conversational situations.

◆ Intermediate Courses Show |
The intermediate level includes three courses – Intermediate I, Intermediate II & Intermediate III. These courses are suitable for students who have completed the Beginner level or possess a vocabulary of approximately 1,000 words. The courses focus on topics concerning the expat experience in China, whether it be living, working, travelling or playing. We focus on dialogue with your teacher and classmates as the primary classroom activity so as to enable students to master different expressions in the course of practical application. Upon completion of the courses, students should have a command of about 1,800 words, as well as the ability to speak fluent Chinese in daily life using complex sentences.

◆ Advanced Courses Show |
The Advanced level includes two courses– Advanced I and Advanced II and is suitable for students who have graduated from the Intermediate courses or possess a vocabulary of approximately 2,000 words. The courses focus on communication skills through the discussion of current issues in society, such as economy, culture, and other facets of Chinese life. The texts are mostly selected from magazines, newspapers and literature. There will be a unique topic in each lesson, such as, “Knowing Yourself”, “Leisure and Entertainment”, or “Human beings and natural science”, etc. Upon completion of the course, students should have a command of about 1,500 new words, including slang, phrases, and especially idiomatic speech. In addition, you will acquire a better understanding of Chinese society and culture to supplement your enhanced language ability.
